Thessaly, Larissa, (c. 404-370 B.C.), silver drachm, (5.85 g), obv. head of the nymph Larissa three-quarter facing, turned slightly to right, wearing hair band and plain necklace. rev. *LARI* horse with straight legs grazing to left, (cf.S.2124, BCD Thessaly II 225, HGC 4, 430, Lorber, Hoard 38.1-2 [same obverse die, but probably same dies as 38.3, which is not illustrated], cf.Obolos 29, lot 126 same dies). Die-break on cheek, dark patination, otherwise off centred, good very fine, very fine.

Ex BCD Collection (with his ticket) previously from Karla W. Schenk-Behrens, Essen, Auction 41, 5 May 1981 (lot 29) with lot ticket (603 DM), before that Karl Kress Auction Sale 144, 22 July 1968 (lot listed not clear). Lot includes BCD photos etc.
