Corcyra (Korkyra), period of Roman protectorate, silver didrachm, after 229 - 48 B.C., (4.39 g), obv. head of young Dionysos, to right, wreathed with ivy, rev. Pegasos flying to right, beneath prow and three monograms PK, VA and KP, (cf.S.2027, BMC 355, cf.SNG Cop.200, SNG Evelpides 1931-2 65 [R1]). Toned, about extremely fine and very rare.

Ex Patrick Cooper Collection, from CNG Triton VI, Auction Sale 13 January 2003 (lot 1542 part), bought from B.A. Seaby London in 1950 and listed list 368, as No.AM.22. Lot includes Cooper ticket and CNG ticket.
