Italy, Bruttium, Rhegion, Second Punic War, (C.211-201 B.C.), AE trias (2.61 g), obv. Jugate busts of Asklepios and Hygeia to right, rev. Hermes standing left, holding kerykeion, IIII to left, over a cornucopiae, most of inscription **RHGINWN* to right downwards, (S.693, HN Italy 2558, SNG ANS 768, HGC 1, 1718 [R1]). Green-brown surfaces, weak in places otherwise extremely fine and very rare.

Ex Spink, London c.1995.
The weight is based on a Persian siglos although it is imitating an Athenian drachm.
