Description
Indonesia, Sumatra, (early 17th century), tin pitis, octagonal type and hoard type, crude Javanese inscription (cf Mitchiner 3963). Good very fine; nearly extremely fine. (2)
Mitchiner suggests the inscription be read as a corrupted 'Sultan Siyak', however Perdana has recently proposed 'pangeran adipati' - princely duke- as a better translation, given the Jambi record of producing coins with Javanese inscriptions.
