ITALY, Calabria, Tarentum (Taras), (380-355 B.C.), silver stater or nomos, (7.68 g), obv. naked horseman at full gallop on horse to left, rev. Taras riding dolphin left, arm extended, below X and **TARAS*, (cf.S.337, Fischer-Bossert 551, Vl.492). Attractively toned, good very fine, rare.
