Mount Gambier Caledonian Society, prize medal in silver (31.5x31.5mm), by Kessal, ring top suspension but this missing, obverse inscribed, 'Mt/G/C/S/1896', reverse inscribed, 'W.W.Stewart/1st Prize/Highland Fling'. Missing suspension ring, otherwise good very fine.
The annual gathering of the Mount Gambier Caledonian Society was held on New Year's Day. The Highland Fling for boys under 16 was won by W.W.Stewart. Mount Gambier is a city in South Australia.
