Letters Patents (2), both printed on vellum, to Mr Jacob Charles Leony of Melbourne, for an 'Invention for Improvements in preserving animal and vegetable substances' in the Colony of Victoria, where he wishes to obtain a Royal Letters Patent, signed and dated 27th June 1873, with Victoria statute stamps for 10/- and ?1 (2) affixed; and in the Colony of Tasmania where he wishes to secure a Special Licence within the said Colony for his invention, signed and dated 13th September 1873; together with Deed of Agreement and Assignment, handwritten on paper, between Mr Jacob Charles Leony and Messrs John Clayton and others, to sell and assign to other parties one half share and interest of and in the said invention, signed and dated 25th July 1873, with Victoria 10/- statute stamp affixed. With some creases, foxing to second document and tears along centre fold line on last, fine - very fine. (3)
