Pair: British War Medal 1914-18; Victory medal 1914-19. 2313 Dvr. A.V.Farrar. 35-Bn. A.I.F. Both medals impressed. Ribbons damaged, first medal dark toned and second medal with some oxidation spots, otherwise very fine.
Together with handcrafted patriotic fob in gold (9ct; tot wt 11.66g; 43mm), with five claw set garnets on each arm of a star overlaid on a disc, in the centre is a photo of a soldier and with provision for another photo on the reverse, ring top suspension, disc inscribed, 'Pres to. Dill by her Parents./in Commemoration of Arthur's Return 22.9.19'; Returned Sailors & Soldiers Imperial League badge (large 2 figure type), reverse numbered 2017 (one lug missing); four postcards (two to his wife Dill, one to his daughter Aletha, and another to his daughters Aletha and Esme), interesting reading.
