Maurice Claude Platts, labourer, age 18, born at Calcutta, India; Enl.08Jun1915 at Seymour, Vic, in 8Bn (original number 2107 altered to 1815), with 4 years service in Senior Cadets; Emb.17Jun1915; joined 8Bn at Gallipoli 06Aug1915; to England 29Jul1916; District Court Martial for AWL and sentenced to 6 months detention from 05Sep1917; 02Jan1918 released from AIF Detention Barracks; to France 01Feb1918 and balance of sentence remitted; WIA 17Apr1918 GSW left forearm, near Villers Bretonneux, France; RTA 14Dec1918; Disch.23Mar1919.
