William Lauder Crowe (originally serial no.1456 and changed to 1300), labourer, age 21, born at Dunning, Perthshire, Scotland; Enl.05Jan1915 in 2 Rfts for 5 Bn at Broadmeadows, Vic; Emb.02Feb1915; to MEF 05Apr1915 for Gallipoli Campaign; to hospital ill 01Sep1915; To Dvr 29Feb1916 at Bde HQs; rejoined 5 Bn 14Mar1916; to France 25Mar1916; to L/Cpl 19Apr1916; accidentally injured and to hospital with wound to scalp and right shoulder 22May1918; to War Hospital at Perth, Scotland with influenza 02Jul1918; Died 06Jul1918 of pneumonia at War Hospital at Perth, Scotland; Buried 10Jul1918 in private family grave at Dunning Parish Church, Dunning, Scotland.
