Severus Alexander, (A.D.222-235), AE sestertius, Rome Mint, issued A.D. 222-231, (20.53 g), obv. laureate bust of Severus Alexander to right draped and cuirassed, around IMP CAES M AVR SEV ALEXANDER AVG, rev. around ANNONA AVGVSTI, S C across base, Annona standing to left holding corn ears over modius and cornucopiae, (S.7962, RIC 548, C.35). Dark green patina, with an attractive portrait, nearly extremely fine with large piece out of edge, rare.
