Divus Augustus, (died A.D. 14), AE sestertius, struck under Tiberius, Rome Mint, issued 36-37 A.D., (25.00 g), obv. quadriga of elephants left, with riders, radiate figure of Augustus sitting left, holding laurel-branch and sceptre, above, DIVO AVGVSTO SPQR, rev. [TI] CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVST PM TR POT [XXXIIX] around large SC, (S.1784, RIC 68, C.308, BMC 125). Toned, nearly fine and rare.
