Antoninus Pius, (A.D. 138-161), jeweller's copy gold aureus, Rome Mint, issued 155-156, obv. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P IMP II, laureate head to right, rev. TR POT XIX COS IIII, Antoninus standing left, right hand holding globe, (S.4027, RIC 256, C.996). The coin good very fine, housed within a gilt oval support frame of sterling silver.
