Burrangong is a small rural area in New South Wales in the local government area of Hilltops and not far from Young. It was amalgamated with Young in 1980. This was the first show staged by the Burrangong Pastoral & Agricultural Association. It was reported that there was keen competition in the prize for ninety-day maize which was won by the very meritorious exhibit of Mr Walter Howell.
