Commodus, (A.D. 177-192), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 179, (3.36 g), obv. laureate head of Commodus to right, around L AVREL COM MODVS AVG, rev. around TR P IIII IMP III COS II P P, Victory seated to left holding patera and palm, (S.5703, RIC 666, RSC 775, BMC 801). Lightly toned, mild surface deposit on obverse, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
