Description

India, Sultanates, Sultans of Delhi, all as round copper paisas and fractions, some duplication etc, mostly of Sher Shah (A.H. 945-952, A.D. 1538-1545), lot includes some of Sher Shah (G&G D940) a few are dated 951, these all with square area types, (95); other paisas types and rulers (51); half paisas etc (19); another large group of half paisas from a common hoard all heavily encrusted (78). Some paisas with green oxidation and dirt patination, all from a common hoard, mostly very good - nearly very fine, total weight 3.45kg. (approx 240)
