JAMES I, (1603 - 1625), second coinage, 1604-19, silver crown, mm escallop, issued 1606-7, (29.94 g), (S.2652, N.2097, Cooper VI/XI). Lightly toned, slightly double struck on the reverse, very fine and extremely rare.

Ex Lord (Rodney) Smith of Marlow Collection, purchased from Spink London, February 1985 and the Cornwall Collection Noble Numismatics Sale 92 (lot 3072), with tickets.
