Saloninus as Caesar, (A.D. 255-259), silver antoninianus, (3.85 g), Samosata mint, 1st-2nd emissions of Valerian I and Gallienus, obv. [SALO]N VALERIANVS NOB CAES, radiate draped bust to right of Saloninus, rev. SPES PVBLICA, Saloninus standing right, holding spear and receiving flower from Spes, standing left and lifting hem of dress, (S.10775, RIC 36, RSC 95) (illustrated); another, (3.97 g), rev. Spes walking left holding flower and lifting hem of dress, (10774, RIC 13, RSC 93) (illustrated); another, (1.74 g), rev. sacrificial implements, around, PIETAS AVG, (S.10768, RIC 9, RSC 44).
