Plautilla (wife of Caracalla), (c. A.D. 202-205), silver denarius, issued 205, (3.35 g), obv. draped bust of Plautilla to right, around PLAVTILLA AVGVSTA, rev. Diana standing left holding torch, around DIANA LVCIFERA, (S.7070, RIC 366, RSC 13). Toned, very fine and very rare.

Ex Dr V.J.A. Flynn Collection. This is the last issue of Plautilla before her exile from Rome. The Reka Devnia hoard contained none of this type and C.Clay estimates that only 25 specimens are known.
