Antoninus Pius, (A.D. 138-161), posthumous issue, silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 162, (3.39 g), obv. DIVVS ANTONINVS, bare headed bust to right of Antoninus Pius, rev. CONSECRATIO around, pyramidal crematorium of four storeys, garlanded base, surmounted by emperor in quadriga, (S.5193, RIC 436, RSC 164) (illustrated); another, (2.96 g), rev. rev. Annona standing left holding two corn ears and resting left hand on modius set on a prow, (S.4068, BMC 809, RIC 231, RSC 291); another, (2.74 g), rev. Felicitas standing left holding long caduceus and cornucopia, (S.4071, RIC 187, RSC 253); another, (3.53 g), rev. Ceres seated to left holding torch and corn-ears, (S.4127, RIC 259, RSC 1006); another, (3.49 g), rev. Concordia standing right, holding patera, (cf.S.4135, RIC 450, RSC 1061). Toning, a few surface scratches, nearly very fine - very fine. (5)
