Trajan, (A.D. 98-117), an issue in honour of his deceased father, silver denarius, issued 115, Rome mint, (2.78 g), obv. laureate bust of Trajan, draped on far shoulder to right, around IMP TRAIANVS AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P, rev. Trajan senior seated left on curule chair, holding patera and sceptre, around DIVVS PATER TRAIAN, (S.3323, RIC 252, RSC 140, BMC 500) (illustrated); another, (3.20 g), rev. Providentia standing left, leaning against column and holding sceptre, globe at her feet, (S.3154, RIC 361, RSC 313); another, (3.18 g), rev. Pax standing left holding branch and cornucopiae, (cf.S.3152, RIC 6, RSC 209); another, (3.20 g), rev. Pax standing left, holding branch and cornucopiae, foot on Dacian captive, (S.3161, RIC 190a, RSC 405a, BMC 213). Toning, fine - very fine, some scarce. (4)
