Trajan, (A.D. 98-117), silver denarius, issued 113, Rome mint, (3.36 g), obv. laureate bust draped to right of Trajan, around IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC [P M TR P] COS VI P P, rev. VIA TRAIANA in exergue, female figure (Via Traiana) reclining to left holding wheel and branch, around S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCI[PI], (S.3173, RIC 266, RSC 648). Light toning, nearly very fine and scarce.
