Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.05 g), Miletus mint, issued c.295-275 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, MI monogram to left, to right **ALEXANDROU*. (cf.S.6730, Price 2151, BMC 2151a-d, M.1057, SNG Berry 256). Toned, about extremely fine.
