Straits Settlements, Johnson Matthey & Co., advertising checks for refiners for coinage Hatton Garden utilising official Royal Mint obverse dies for twenty and ten cents 1871-7, struck in aluminium (1.5g and 1.0g) at the Royal Mint and exhibited at the Paris Exposition of 1878 (see Pridmore lot 192; R.J.Ford lots 650, 1). Uncirculated and rare. (2)
