Pair: Queen's South Africa Medal 1899, (type 3 reverse), - clasp - Cape Colony; King's South Africa Medal 1902, - two clasps - South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902. 1589 Pte A.Musson. D. of E. Own V.R. on first medal, 980 Serjt. A.E.Musson. Colonial L.H. on second medal. Both medals impressed. Some light contact marks on second medal, otherwise toned nearly extremely fine.

A.Musson confirmed on medal roll for Duke of Edinburgh's Own Volunteer Rifles and also as 980 Sergeant A.E.Musson on KSA medal roll for Colonial Light Horse.

Alfred Edmund Musson, born at Cooma, NSW, Australia served in Duke of Edinburgh's Own Volunteer Rifles as Private from 08Nov1899 until he Discharged on 17Jun1901 at Cape Town at his own request. He then enrolled in the Permanent Duty Company on 11Jul1901 and at the rank of Corporal on 25Sep1901 transferred to Colonial Light Horse effective from 26Sep1901 until he Discharged on 24Mar1902 as Sergeant.

With original copies of all three Discharge Certificates.
