Thrace, Maroneia, (c.189 - 145 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.46 g), obv. head of young Dionysos to right, wreathed with ivy and band across forehead, rev. Dionysos naked standing to left, holding grapes and two narthex wands, to right **DIONUSOU*, to left **SWTHROS, below **MAPWNITWN, monograms to left and right below, (cf.S.1635, Schonert-Geiss 1196 [V64/R200], cf.Hunter 20). Large flan, a few light scratches, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
