Sicily, Syracuse, (c.485-478 B.C. revised date 467-461), silver tetradrachm, (17.35 g), obv. fast walking quadriga driven to right by bearded male charioteer, Nike flying right crowning horses, rev. **SUPAKO SI ON* around to right with some letters reversed, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, hair slightly waved and turned up behind under diadem of beads, four dolphins around, (cf.S.914, Boehringer 329 (obverse 162/reverse 230 these dies]). Lightly toned, good very fine and a rare die combination.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 99, lot 3314 and previously Spink & Son with ticket. Boehringer notes one known example from these dies.
