Sicily, Himera, as Thermae Himerensis, (c.350 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.51 g), obv. fast quadriga driven left by charioteer, holding reins and kentron, above, Nike flying right to crown him, below horses, signature **[KLH]*, in exergue, **[QERMI]TAN*, rev. head of Tanit (Kore-Persephone) right, wearing barley wreath, earring and necklace, hair caught up behind in saccos, around, three dolphins, (S.-, Jenkins SNR 50-72, Jenkins Punic Sicily I, Thermai 6 and pl. 22, 6, Zeitschrift fur Numismatik (ZfN) 42 (1935) plate IX - 1). Attractive irridescent toning, nearly extremely fine and extremely rare.
