Kevin Kelly, clerk, age 19, born at Wyalong, NSW; Enl.01Sep1941 at Drill Hall, Merrylands, Sydney, NSW; applied for Special Forces 01Jul1942 at Leppington, NSW (N210718 Gunner with 12 Aust Army Fd Regt [CMF] to NX103686); Disch.13Mar1946 as Trooper ex 2/10 Aust Commando Sqn.



2/10 Commando Sqn saw action in New Guinea during the Aitape-Wewak Campaign carrying out long-range patrols, flank protection and area defence. The unit also spearheaded an amphibious assault landing at Dove Bay east of Wewak. The unit was disbanded at war's end.
