Pair: Queen's South Africa Medal 1899, (type 2 reverse), - four clasps - Relief of Kimberley, Paardeberg, Driefontein, Transvaal; King's South Africa Medal 1902, - two clasps - South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902. 5542. Pte. H.Jerome 1/Oxfd. L.I. on first medal, 5542 Pte H.Jerome Oxford: L.I. on second medal. First medal engraved, second medal impressed. Swing mounted, contact marks, toned very fine.
Ex Ken Maxwell Lyon Collection.
Collector's note indicates prisoner at Schotland West 20Apr1902, however there is no supporting information and Schotland is the Afrikaans name for Scotland.
