France, c August 1914, French Army Infantry uniform ensemble, model 1877 Infantry great coat badged for the 39th Infantry Regiment, dark blue wool body with red collar facings and brass 'pompier' flaming bomb buttons, the rank of corporal displayed as two white stripes to the upper cuffs of each sleeve, to the shoulders an added pair of red fringed epaulettes comtemporary to the period; model 1873 water bottle, no cover; model 1873 enlisted ranks belt with plain brass buckle; WWI pattern equipment leather suspenders with replaced brass fittings; pair of reproduction model 1888 ammunition pouches; lebel 1886/93 bayonet with brass hilt and matching leather bayonet frog; red wool jodhpurs suitable for display along with reproduction black leather ankle boots. All displayed on a modern torso mannequin, very fine.
