Ancient British, North Thames Region, Catuvellauni and Trinovantes, Inscribed coins, Cunobelinus Classic type, (c.10-41 A.D.), gold quarter stater, (1.35 g), obv. ear of corn with central stalk, scroll at base of stem, CA to left, MV to right, rev. naturalistic horse to right, branch above, CVNO below on exergual line, beaded border, (S.296, ABC 2822, Van A 2038, NT 8, S 296, BMC 1850, M -, CCI 03.0657 [this coin]). Good rose gold, sharply struck, attractive horse with full CVNO, nearly extremely fine and very rare.
