Ancient British, North Thames Region, Tasciovanos, Inscribed coins, Tasciovanos Warrior type, (c.20 B.C.-10 A.D.), gold stater, (5.32 g), obv. crossed-wreath motif with two opposing crescents and four ringed-pellets at centre forming hidden faces, rev. warrior riding to right, holding carnyx in right hand, inverted T above tail, A below tail, S below, C in front, (S.217, ABC 2562, Van A 1732-1, NT 7, BMC 1611, M 155, CCI 07.0537 [this coin]). Attractive large flan of rose gold, great horse and rider, full carnyx, nearly extremely fine and a rare variety.
