Ancient British, North Thames Region, Catuvellauni, Uninscribed coins, Whaddon Wings Cross type, (c.55-45 B.C.), gold quarter stater, (1.32 g), obv. wreath, angular wing motif above, cloak lines bottom left, two crescents forming eyes below, rev. long-eared horse leaping right, Maltese cross above, ringed pellets around, (S.-, ABC 2457, Van A 1478, NT 5-6, BMC -, M -). Nicely struck with a clear Maltese cross above horse, good very fine and extremely rare.
