Ancient British, North Thames Region, Catuvellauni, Uninscribed coins, Westerham Geometric type, (c.60-50 B.C.), gold quarter stater, (1.42 g), obv. traces of 'three men in a boat' design with tall figures rev. abstract design with three angular bars, central rectangle and radiating lines above, (S.-, ABC 2451 [this coin], Van A -, NT 4-5, BMC -, M -, CCI 04.1251 [this coin]). Attractive gold, sharp striking on reverse, good very fine or better and excessively rare.

Excessively rare - only three other examples of this quarter stater are recorded.
The quarter staters are much rarer than the equivalent staters in the Ingoldisthorpe and Westerham types, with only twenty known in the whole series. This is the fourth known example of this type.
