Ancient British, North Thames Region, Catuvellauni, Uninscribed coins, Westerham North type, (c.60-50 B.C.), gold stater, (6.38 g), obv. wreath motif with leaves facing downwards, rev. disjointed horse to left, standing on exergual line, large pellets above, (S.21, ABC 2430, Van A 200, NT 4-5, S 21, BMC 1-23, M 28, CCI 08.9135 [this coin]). Toned high gold, well struck on a large flan with a sharp wreath and clear horse, good very fine or better and scarce.

This is an excellent example of a Westerham North gold stater (Mint B), well centred, boldly struck and very heavy.
