Ancient British, North Eastern Region, Inscribed coins, Corieltavi, Vepo Vepoc type, (c.5-15 A.D.), silver unit, (1.08 g), obv. plain with faint traces of wreath, rev. horse to right, solid head, double upper front legs, VEPOC[OMES] above, pellet in ring in front, below and below tail, (S.412, ABC 1869, Van A 95, NE 8-9, BMC 3310-14, M -). Toned, obverse die heavily degraded, full VEPOC above horse, very fine or better and very rare.

This coin is attributed to Vepocomes based on readings of a few specimens showing further lettering.
Includes a ticket noting that the coin was found near Owmby, Lincolnshire in 1990.
