Southern Britain, Inscribed issue, Atrebates and Regini, Epatticus Boar's Head type, (c.20 - 40 A.D.), silver minim,
(0.31 g), obv. EPATI between two ringed pellets, beaded border, rev. boar's head to right with open jaws, TA below, (S.360, ABC 1370, BMC 2331-46, M 264, Van A 585). Bright silver, sharp inscription, beautiful boar's head, bold extremely fine and scarce.

Epatticus was the son of Tasciovanos, hence the letters TA on the reverse.
Chris Rudd declares this to be a truly sensational specimen and probably the finest he has seen.
