Ancient British, South of Thames, Belgae, Uninscribed coins, Hampshire Thunderbolt type, (c.55-45 B.C.), gold quarter stater, (1.37 g), obv. stylised boat with two standing figures, short dashes below, pellet daisy to left, rev. cruciform thunderbolt motif, various objects in angles, (S.46, ABC 767, Van A 143, BMC 129-36, M 40). Nice gold, full thunderbolt with clear ornaments, good very fine and scarce.

The corpus of recent findspots indicate that this piece was minted by the Belgae, not the Regini as previously speculated.
