Ancient British, South of Thames, Regini and Atrebates, Uninscribed coins, Selsey Dahlia type, (c.55-45 B.C.), gold quarter stater, (1.36 g), obv. wreath design with hidden face, rev. triple tailed horse to right, beaded mane, floral sun above, beaded pellet behind, wheel below, (S.48, ABC 500, ST 5-6, Van A 222-1, BMC 489-94, M 70, CCI 97.2319 [this coin]). High quality gold, full display of the hidden face on obverse, attractive floral sun on reverse, good very fine or better and rare.
