Ancient British, Kent, Dubnovellaunos, (c.25 B.C.- 5 A.D.),
gold quarter stater, (1.29 g), Dubnovellaunos Trefoil type, obv. plain with slight banding, rev. horse stepping to right, beaded mane, trefoil above with ringed pellet each side, triskele motif below, ringed pellets around, (S.171, ABC 312, KE 7, Van A 170, BMC 2475-77, M 284). Toned rose gold, superb striking, full trefoil and attractive horse, good very fine or better and very rare.
