Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.14 g), Odessos mint, issued c.80-72 B.C., obv. Herakles head in lion skin to right, rev. Zeus seated left on throne, eagle in outstretched hand, MAKW [MA ligated] on left, star below throne, in exergue of **ODH, BASILEWS* to right, **ALEXANDROU* to left, (cf.S.6713, cf.Price 1192-3, cf.BMC 1192-3, cf.M.429). Toned, extremely fine and very rare, unpublished.
