Recovered from the Iron Mountain Vaults that were directly underneath the World Trade Center destroyed by the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. After being discovered by workers the recovered coins were sent to Collectors Universe, the parent company of PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service), for grading and encapsulation along with a specially designed commemorative American flag insert so that each coin could be instantly identified as a genuine artefact recovered from Ground Zero at the World Trade Center. No other coins will ever again be slabbed with this special American flag insert.
