India, Assam, Pramatta Simha Sunenpha, (SE 1666-1673, A.D. 1744-1751), gold octagonal mohur with lion to left, SE 1669 (1747), (KM.128, XF $3000). Nearly extremely fine and very rare, with tickets.
Ex Gray Donaldson Collection and Colin Pitchfork Collections, Spink Noble Sale 46 (lot 2546), previously from Glendinings c1970.
Gold mohurs of this king were unknown until a few decades ago.
