Together with original Engineer's embroidered brevet.

Cyril Ashley Rose, cotton worker, age 23 born at Bellingen, NSW; his family moved to Penrith, NSW when he was four years old and he grew up there; Enl.15Apr1940, mustering Flight Engineer; Flight Engineer's Badge 18Sep1942; commissioned as Plt Off 03Oct1943; overseas service 17Jul1941-30Mar1944; missing believed killed during Nuremburg Raid 30Mar1944 flying with 156 Sqn (RAF); this was the last and most costly raid in the long running Battle of Berlin in which raids began on 18/19 November 1943; Cyril Rose is buried at the Berlin 1939-45 War Cemetery and he is commemorated on the Memorial at Penrith City Memory Park and in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
