A.I.F. on second medal, 1974 Pte J.E.Chapman 33 Bn. A.I.F. on third medal, last two medals unnamed as issued. All named medals impressed, the third medal used as a replacement for lost medal. Good very fine - extremely fine.

Roland Frederick Herbert Green, assistant inspector stock, age 28, born at Emmaville, NSW; Enl.01Oct1914 at Liverpool, NSW; previous service of 6 years in ALH; Emb.21Dec1914 with 6LHR; to 6Bn at Gallipoli 12Sep1915; to 2Lt 03Oct1915; evacuated to London with appendicitis; RTA 08Aug1916; returned to duty 12Sep1916 Emb.17Nov1916; TOS 6Bn and promoted to Lt 12May1917; WIA 20Sep1917 necessitating amputation of left leg; RTA 04Sep1918; Appt terminated 30Jan1920. Roland Green was elected to the Federal House of Representatives for Richmond, NSW at the general elections in 1922, 1925, 1928 and 1929. He was Member of Royal Commission on National Insurance 1924 to 1927 and Member of Joint Committee of Public Accounts from 1929 to 1931 and Joint Select Committee on Public Accounts 1932. He was member of the Commonwealth delegation, Empire Parliamentary Association, which visited England, 1937, for the Coronation of King George VI. He was defeated in the general election of 1937. He died in 1947.
