Sicily, Syracuse, (485-479 B.C.), silver tetradrachm (17.12 g), obv. slow quadriga driven right by male charioteer holding goad, above, Nike flying right, crowning horses, dotted border, rev. medium size head of Artemis-Arethusa right, hair slightly waved and turned up behind, under a diadem of beads, four dolphins around, **S*VRA KO**S I O* N around, (cf.S.914, Boehringer 216 [Dies Obv.V95, Rev. R147, 6 specimens noted], Randazzo 376-8 [p.68, Pl.15 same dies], SNG ANS 73 [same dies], only other known examples noted by Boehringer. Lightly toned, nearly very fine, well centred and very rare.
