Documents of the period 1877-1892 concerning the purchase of land in the South West Pacific by traders and ships captains (blackbirders) associated with Fiji, Gilbert Islands, New Hebrides and Norfolk Island (mention also of Mackay and Rockhampton), all documents hand written in 'legalese' and signed by sundry Europeans and various indigenese mostly signed by their mark, a few with duty stamps and High Commissioner seals. An interesting and important lot of documents, in fine condition and very rare. (10)
