TRIO: 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (GVIR), Sto. P.O. A.W. Homer R.A.N. Last medal only named impressed. Very fine. $ M.I.D: L.G.27 December 1940: 'For gallantry and successful service whilst servicing in HMAS Sydney in destroying the Italian cruiser Bartolomeo Colleoni. He was in charge of 'B' boiler room and repair parties during the actio off Cape Spada on 19 July 1940. He was particularly noteworthy in the performance of his duty during the action.' Together with: three M.I.D. emblems; HMAS Sydney/Bartolomeo Colleoni Medallion in case of issue named engraved 'A.W.Homer, CH.STO. O.N.14320'; forwarding letter for campaign stars (family state outstanding medals never claimed)', 34 photographs of the Mediterranean and shipboard life; press clippings; Christmas cards, and menu; HMAS Sydney Cap Tally; glazed and framed photographs of recipient in uniform and of him receiving his medallion the Lord Mayor of Sydney; two large photographs of HMAS Sydney, a copy of 'Grex Gladiator' by G.HG.Johnstone (in which recipient is mentioned) and coloured commemorative death scroll in large envelope addressed to his next of kin.
