Antoninus Pius, (A.D. 138-161), gold aureus, Rome mint, issued 148-9, (7.18 grams), obv. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XII, laureate head to right, rev. COS IIII, Aequitas standing left holding scales and cornucopiae, (S.4003, RIC 177, C.239, BMC 649). Some light surface scratches and red inclusions around the lettering, otherwise very fine or better and scarce.
